Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in telecommunications engineering.
Demonstrated experience in electrical transmission and substation projects.
Sound understanding of industrial communication networks and utility telecom systems.
Experience with WAN/LAN architectures and secure communication systems.
Strong knowledge of:

MPLS
IP Networking
VLANs
Routing & Switching
Firewalls
VPN Technologies
Wireless Communication (4G/5G)
Familiarity with telecom integration for SCADA, OT, and critical infrastructure environments.
Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience supporting UAE utility, transmission, or power sector projects.
Knowledge of OT cybersecurity principles and secure network architecture.
Experience working on brownfield substation projects.
Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent networking certifications.
Familiarity with IEC 61850 communication environments.

Additional Information

Contract Duration: 5 Months
Site Survey Phase: Approximately 3 Months
Design Support Phase: Approximately 2 Months
Candidates must be currently based in the UAE.
Electrical substation project experience is highly desirable.
